Austin Dillon Prepares for South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

After a 12th-place finish at last weekend’s Big Machine Vodka 400 at the Brickyard, Austin Dillon and the No. 3 team have their sights set on turning in a good performance at this weekend’s South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Dillon shared some thoughts about what the No. 3 team will have to do in order to run well in Las Vegas:

“We took a car that was really good last race and qualified well but didn’t really race as well as we would have liked. I think we had a penalty that got us behind. You have to keep track position and have a car that holds on for the long run. Las Vegas Motor Speedway is becoming much more similar to Chicagoland Speedway in terms of the amount of tire wear you see. Hopefully, we can take our package that we had at Chicagoland Speedway and apply it to Las Vegas Motor Speedway.”

Tune in to the South Point 400

The South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will be televised live on Sunday, September 15, at 7 p.m. Eastern time on NBC Sports Network. It will also be broadcast live on the Performance Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

Kyle Mohan Returns to Action this Weekend

After a short break in the schedule, Kyle Mohan returns to action for Formula Drift Dallas this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway for the penultimate showdown of the 2019 Formula Drift season. Mohan and team have been making improvements in every round of competition on the American Ethanol Mazda RX8 that they debuted this year. It has been a learning process with the much larger vehicle compared to drifting in the Mazda MX5 that Mohan used in competitions for the past few seasons, which was the smallest car in the entire field.

We’re confident that Mohan will put on a show for the likely sold-out crowd this weekend and promote the benefits of ethanol along the way. Be sure to follow Mohan on Instagram for great content, and check out the Formula Drift website for the latest updates, schedules, and how you can watch this weekend.

AELMT Heads to Hartford Speedway

The American Ethanol Late Model Tour (AELMT) heads to Hartford Speedway for the Fall Special this weekend, which packs an increased importance as the season winds down and drivers try to fight their way to the top of the championship points standings. Defending AELMT Champion and current points leader, Brandon Thirlby comes into the event with a 41-point advantage over second-place Travis Stemler and a 76-point advantage over third-place Logan Artnz. The top three drivers have continued to finish near each other in the past few races, which has kept the race to the top close as we approach the end of the season.

The Fall Special will take place on Saturday, September 14, with general admission gates opening at 5 p.m. Eastern time. Check out the speedway’s website for more info on schedules and how to attend and be sure to follow the AELMT on Facebook!
